About Us

I’m a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of South Carolina. I’ve spent over 20 years in the engineering world - specifically power generation and plant development, for world-class companies such as General Electric, Alstom Power, Duke Energy, Florida Power & Light, Southern Company and others.  Throughout my career, I’ve put in the groundwork from Engineer to Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer, and Chief Engineer. 

I say this because the depth of understanding of the physical concepts used in my career projects led me to develop and design the KYP Pool Cooler System. 

Working with large-scale power plant facilities inspired me to utilize that same technology, but on a much smaller scale - specifically the way power plant facilities inexpensively cool the massive amounts of recirculated water used in power generation. 

The technology was there so I adapted it to a swimming pool, but did so over a period of 8 years. Throughout those years I performed careful research and development, took meticulous notes, modified designs as needed, and ultimately designed a high flow nozzle with the required pressure that incorporate the physical laws of the Venturi and Coandă processes that help break the water droplets into their smallest size which make them ideal for efficient heat transfer. 

The final result is what you get, an engineered, Patented product with several more patents pending, that will absolutely work to give you years of performance, made from the best materials. It took me 8 years because I wanted the best product, that does what it says it will do, and with quality materials. 

I have been blessed to have a wife of 23 years that supports me as much as I support her.  We have two wonderful boys 18 and 16 who have their eyes set on the next stage of their life which right now is a college in Charleston, SC. I love my family and am proud of them and can’t wait to see the amazing things that they will accomplish in their careers.  My wife has been heavily involved with the development of these products, right by my side and in most cases the driving force that kept it going.
